Presentation of the Network

The network "Early Childhood" was founded in 2004 by the CRPPC (Pr Albert Ciccone, Denis Mellier, Pr René Roussillon and other members).
In 2006, the International Interuniversity Seminar for the Research on Perinatal Psychoanalytic Psychopathology (SIIRPPP) was founded by the Psychopathology Laboratories in Lyon 2, Montpellier and Paris 10.

Scientific specificity

Works focusing on projective methods in support of a theoretical approach referred to psychoanalytical metapsychology (Ecole Française).


  • Basic research on projective tools' contribution in assessment practices in the various fields of contemporary clinical practices (trauma, aging process, adoption, learning, autism, criminology, etc.);
  • Shaping of assessment tools (early childhood, evaluations);
  • Research involving crossed methodology settings: group and projective tools.


  • Organization of two annual scientific days (Lyon in 2011, 2013 and another one planned for 2015);
  • Ongoing organization of the next Network Day (2016);
  • Co-publications;
  • Participation to national and international symposia (French Language International Society of the Rorschach and Projective Methods, International Society of the Rorschach).
